A geeky-looking Hollywood extra with over 100 brief film appearances to his name has stepped into the limelight at the Super Bowl, locking lips with supermodel Bar Refaeli in an ad seen by millions.
Jesse Heiman, 34, plays the "smart side" of domain registrar and web hosting company Go Daddy in a 30-second ad that features Refaeli as the firm's "sexy side".
The ad shows the pair in a passionate kiss that Heiman said made him feel like he had won the "championship of men".
Heiman was so eager to impress in his rare foray into the foreground that he initially slipped in the tongue, causing CBS censors to deem the scene unsuitable for television.
The 34-year-old is a familiar face, appearing in the background of many popular films including The Social Network and American Pie 2.
The headline-grabbing spot was one of many eagerly anticipated ads that punctuated the United States' biggest sporting event.
Other big name brands including Volkswagen, Doritos and Coca Cola ran ads during the most expensive time slot of the year.
