Skateboarders brushing with death

A South African skateboarder hit speeds of more than 110km/h on a Cape Town road this week, shocking drivers and setting off a speed camera as he went.

But the 24-year-old daredevil is not the only skater to have captured such a hair-raising ride.

A man was filmed crashing off a house roof while another was caught colliding with a reindeer at speed.

A US skater had luck on his side when he narrowly missed crashing into a moving car.

But perhaps the most poised was Tillman the bulldog, filmed riding a skateboard, trying surfing and carrying out tricks without a stumble.
