When parents turn their backs, children often take the chance to try new things.

One US boy got a bit too enthusiastic using a marker and was filmed with pen all over his face by his father.

Another youngster was filmed trying his hand at a grown-up pursuit – using a convertible to drift around corners.

Thankfully, it was only a toy.

But that didn't stop the little boy showing off his moves to his girlfriend who was riding shotgun.
