Footage has emerged of a young US woman repeatedly apologising to her "dead" wisdom teeth while coming off anaesthetic after having them removed.
In the video, posted online last Wednesday, a heavily drugged Abbie Kritz holds the teeth in her hand and tells them she's sorry she "took lives" while being driven home from surgery.
"I did it against my own will, I would have kept you," she tells the teeth.
"I loved you from the first moment on."
Her mother patiently tries to explain that the wisdom teeth were "bad for your other teeth", but Ms Kritz is inconsolable.
"They were just trying to help me chew and I didn't accept them," she says.
"I could have accepted them."
She's still lamenting her lost teeth and tries to put them back in her mouth once her family gets her home.
"They just wanted to be a part of my body and I said 'No, get out'," she says.
"I didn't mean it.
"You can come back if you want."
Ms Kritz also posted on Twitter "if you like it then you shoulda putta ring it. #beyonce" while coming down from anaesthetic.
She later told her Twitter followers she had made it out of surgery alright.
"I remember the whole procedure but after I got out of the chair I don't remember anything at all haha," she tweeted.
