April 06, 2013: Off-duty policeman Justin Rogers came to the rescue of a TSA officer in Honolulu while on vacation after the agent was attacked by a homeless woman.

An airport security officer being attacked by a homeless woman has been rescued by a barefoot policeman on his way home from a holiday.

Stunning security vision shows the woman attacking the female officer at Honolulu International Airport, with none of her colleagues coming to her aid.

But California police corporal Justin Rogers is seen leaping over a glass barrier and throwing the assailant to the ground.

He then pins her to the floor before other Transportation Security Adminstration (TSA) agents arrive to help.

Corporal Rogers had taken off his shoes to go through the security checkpoint when he saw the woman attack.

"Police officer or not, the woman was being assaulted," he was quoted by NBC Bay Area as saying.

"Had her arms up, trying to defend herself and somebody really needed to help her and luckily I was close enough to be able to help."

The TSA thanked Corporal Rogers for his action.

The homeless woman has been charged with assault, while the TSA agent suffered minor bruising.
