In a bizarre twist of fate a US driver named Daisy Cowit has crashed into a herd of dairy cows.
Witnesses claim Ms Cowit was texting when she collided with the animals as they crossed a road between two parts of a farm in Mount Hope, New York on Monday afternoon, the Times Herald-Record reports.
Farmer Mike Hosking, who could lose three milk cows, believes Ms Cowit was not paying attention to the road.
"If you don't see 50 cows in the road, you're doing something (you shouldn't be doing)," he said.
The farmer added that seven cows were hit in the smash, with three seriously injured and one thrown five feet into the air.
A farmhand narrowly avoided the collision.
Ms Cowit has not been charged but an investigation remains open.
Mr Hosking said the cows had more than a financial value to him and his workers, saying the bovines had names and were treated as members of the family.
" I think more of those cows than I do of some people," he said.
There is no word if any of the cows were also called Daisy.Source: Times Herald-Record
