November 17, 2013: A dolphin has reportedly jumped for joy and done a brief happy dance after Brazilian fishermen removed a plastic bag that was tangled around the mammal.

A good deed by a group of fishermen in Brazil was rewarded instantly after they rescued a baby dolphin that was struggling to free itself from a plastic bag.

The men spotted the tiny mammal thrashing about inside a green shopping bag as they fished in waters near Fort Itapiu, off the coast of Sao Paulo on Friday, Globo reports.

After spotting the stricken animal the fishermen use a net to scoop up the dolphin and bring it onto their boat.

One of the men then removes the bag as the agitated creature whips its tail back and forth.

The dolphin is then returned to the ocean and surprises all the men abroad as it suddenly launches itself out of the water and momentarily waddles back and forth in a vertical position.

The dolphin's reaction has been interpreted as a gesture of thanks by many online.
