A man in the US is vying for the dubious honour of the world's dumbest criminal after he burgled a number of homes while wearing an electronic bracelet that monitored his whereabouts.
Brandon Campbell, 27, was on Saturday convicted of robbing up to 15 Colorado homes, CBS reports.
The prosecutors had little trouble proving Campbell's guilt as data taken from his bracelet was used to show he had visited the homes around the time they were burgled.
Deputy Prosecutor Chelsea Koch described the GPS data as a "prosecutor's dream".
"That’s an excellent piece of evidence to put him at every single burglary at the time it was burglarised," she said.
In another irony Campbell was wearing the bracelet that convicted him because he was on parole for another robbery offence.
He is accused of stealing a GPS navigation device.
