Prince Charles will join Prime Minister Kevin Rudd at a memorial service for victims of the Victorian bushfires in London next week.
Charles will be accompanied by his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, for the service at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday, the prince's official website said.
Organisers hope hundreds of Australians will attend the ceremony.
Last month Charles expressed his horror at the devastation caused by the bushfires, saying he remembered some of the towns scarred by the flames from when he was a student at Geelong Grammar's Timbertop school in 1966.
His sons, princes William and Harry, also visited the Australian High Commission in London in late February to sign a condolence book for those who died.
Prince Philip and Prime Minister Gordon Brown also added their signatures to the book, while the Queen made a private donation to the Red Cross bushfire appeal and Princess Anne flew to Melbourne for the national day of mourning.
Australian author Kathy Lette has helped organise the ceremony at Westminster Abbey, which has received the backing of several other London-based Australians including actor Jason Donovan, artist Rolf Harris and performer Barry Humphries.
Rudd is due to arrive in London this weekend after visiting US President Barack Obama in Washington.
The pair will join other world leaders in the British capital at the G20 summit on April 2 to discuss ways to resolve the global financial crisis.
