Schapelle Corby could have her drug smuggling jail sentence shortened after Indonesia's Supreme Court recommended a cut.
Corby, 33, is five years into a 20-year jail term for importing 4.2kg of marijuana into Bali in 2004 and has been pleading to the Indonesian president for clemency.
But sources have told ABC News a Supreme Court judge has submitted a recommendation to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to reduce Corby's sentence significantly.
President Yudhoyono will go over the judge's letter before making a decision on any reductions.
While Corby's lawyer Iskander Nawing told the ABC he had not heard anything from the courts about any reductions, but said Corby was mentally ill and President Yudhoyono must show mercy for her.
Just months ago Corby's mother said her daughter wanted to have a baby and it did not matter that she was incarcerated inside Kerobokan Prison.
She is going to have a baby and she's going to be a great mum," Rose told Woman's Day.
"If she doesn't come home this time, she can have one in there … so what?"
