A US woman who suspected her husband was having an affair was shocked to discover photos of his second wedding to another woman on Facebook.

Lynn France, 41, discovered about 200 photos of her husband John's marriage to another woman at a Sleeping Beauty-themed wedding at Disney World, Associated Press reported.

Mrs France described herself as being "numb with shock" after seeing her husband marrying another woman while dressed as the Disney character Prince Charming.

"There was like an album of 200 pictures on there — their whole wedding," she said.

Mrs France had become suspicious of her husband's infidelity when he began taking frequent business trips, including leaving for one on the day their newborn son came home from hospital.

She initially discovered her husband was planning to remarry when she spied on her love rival's Facebook page.

Mr France admitted to the affair after her detective work but insisted he did not go through with the wedding — despite the photos revealing otherwise.

He now argues that his marriage to Mrs France was never legally proper in the first place.

"I don't think I was cheating," he said.

"If you have a marriage that's not right from the beginning, it's not right at the end."

He said Mrs France's claim of finding out about the second wedding was "absurd" and simply a publicity stunt during the custody battle for their two children.
