Olympic swim star Michael Phelps boasted of his marijuana exploits before indulging in a threesome with a lapdancer, a British newspaper claims.

Stripper Theresa White, 25, unleashed a string of salacious claims about the 23-year-old Baltimore swimmer, whose three-month ban from the pool for smoking marijuana has just finished.

Ms White said Phelps had struck up a casual relationship with her after they met at a strip club last November.

"He told me he'd done marijuana since he got back from Beijing and he tried to get some for me one night but couldn't find any," she was quoted as saying in the News of the World.

Ms White described how she was playing drinking games at a party in Phelps' waterfront mansion when she suggested a threesome, and he selected her and another girl.

"Everybody else stayed put while we went upstairs and jumped into bed," she said.

She also claimed that Phelps had a string of beauties constantly on call for sex.

"When I ran into another girl called Jen at a party it turned out he was sleeping with both of us and I've heard that there are at least five or six girls he can call on any time."

But Ms White was gracious about his bedroom performance.

"The sex lasted for about three hours… Michael should get another Olympic gold for marathon love-making," she said.

Ms White said their meetings had dwindled in recent months, but they were reunited last week as he celebrated the end of his ban.

She said he had become "paranoid" about anything hurting his career after pictures of him puffing on a bong were published in February, leading to the ban.

"Since the story got out I've seen him tell friends that he'll throw their mobile camera phones in the river if he sees them using them around him," she said.
