A train has hit a trailer near Limoges in southwestern France, injuring 13 people.
Thirteen people have been injured, two seriously, when a train derailed near the southwestern French city of Limoges after hitting a trailer, police say.
Three wagons derailed on Friday after the train rammed into the straw-laden trailer that had accidentally toppled on the tracks.
The train, carrying some 450 passengers, was running between Paris and Cahors and the accident occurred at around 8.40pm.
Several wagons went off the tracks but did not overturn, an AFP photographer said.
Five people were hospitalised but only two had very serious injuries, police said.
Rail traffic was disrupted and some 150 workers were busy overnight trying to clear one of the two blocked tracks.
