A pair of identical twin sisters have married two identical twin brothers in a military ceremony in Russia.
When Lilia and Liana Kobozevsa paired off with Alexei and Dimtry Semyonova in Pechora, far northern Russia, they decided they would seal their respective unions with a confusing joint ceremony.
The brides were indistinguishable as they fittingly donned identical white gowns, while the grooms differed only in the shade of their dark suits.
Despite some confused looks from a few guests, there was no uncertainty when it came to exchanging vows and the couples married without a hitch.
After the ceremony, Liana Kobozevsa joked the situation could sometimes prove tricky.
"I will always recognise Alexei and Lilia will recognise Dmitry," she said.
"There are moments sometimes … but I can always recognise Alexei from his back at least."
The mother of the grooms admitted she had more trouble.
"I can recognise my own sons, I think, because they are different … as for the girls, I'm getting confused," she said.
