One of Kim Dotcom's co-accused is now on bail in New Zealand, but he isn't allowed to use the internet.

Bail had been granted for Bram van der Kolk, 29, along with co-accused Finn Batato, 38, at their prior appearances on internet piracy charges but they remained in custody while police checked out potential bail addresses.

Van der Kolk, the head programmer of the Megaupload website, was bailed on Thursday when he reappeared at North Shore District Court, with conditions that include having no access to the internet for him or anyone at the address he is bailed to, APNZ reported.

He was also told not to associate with any of his three fellow accused overseas.

Batato, 38, was set to be bailed to the address that Dotcom's pregnant wife Mona lives at but he will remain in custody another night as she was visiting a doctor when bail assessors visited.

Dotcom, 38, was refused bail on Friday after a High Court judge agreed with an earlier ruling that he was a significant flight risk.

The fourth accused arrested in New Zealand, Mathias Ortmann, was due to have a bail hearing in Manukau District Court.

All four were arrested on January 19 and are wanted in the US.

An extradition hearing is due later this month.

The home Batato was due to be bailed to has been seized by the Official Assignee along with jewellery, jetskis and a vehicle following a court order made on February 1.

It comes on top of millions of dollars of assets seized when the quartet were arrested.

However, Guy Sayers of the Official Assignee's office said Ms Dotcom was still able to reside at the address.

Dotcom's bodyguard Wayne Tempero also reappeared in North Shore District Court on Thursday, facing charges of possession of a pistol for an unlawful purpose.

He had previously vowed to fight firearms charges.
