Fried chicken chain KFC is investigating after an employee at a Malaysian outlet punched a customer during an argument.
Footage of the fight uploaded to YouTube on February 6 shows a shouting match between a group of employees and customers at a restaurant in Shah Alam, west of Kuala Lumpur.
Amidst pushing and shoving one of the KFC employees rushes from behind the counter and punches the customer, grabs him around the neck and then kicks him into a table.
According to YouTube user Jess6366, who uploaded the video, the customer who was punched had been waiting for more than an hour for chicken.
When it finally came to his turn he was told the restaurant had run out.
He then demanded an apology from the manager which is when the shouting started.
A KFC Holdings spokesman told Free Malaysia Today that the company was aware of the video and was investigating the incident.
The company also said on Facebook that the staff involved have been suspended pending investigation.
"Once the investigation is complete, we will take all appropriate action to address any violation of our strict operating procedures and customer service standards," the post said.
