A man arrested for child pornography in the US made a shrine dedicated to actresses Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen and other child stars, police say.
Kevin Derks, from the northern state of Wisconsin, has been charged with 20 counts of possessing child pornography after officers found the walls and furniture in his home covered with images of young girls performing sex acts, the Associated Press reports.
Derk allegedly told investigators he had turned to children because they were beautiful and the world was getting "worse and worse".
He has denied ever having had any sexual contact with a child.
The images of the Olsen twins were not pornographic but a caption was added to a poster of the girls — taken when they were 11 years old — which invited Derk to have sex with them.
Photos Derk had allegedly taken of young girls at local beaches were also found along with girls' underwear and store mannequins arranged in explicit poses.
Dozens of images of children, including actress Dakota Fanning and kidnap victim Elizabeth Smart, were in a stack next to the bed.
Police raided Derks' home after a tip off from federal immigration officials investigating online pornography.
