A former Playboy Model of the Year has been found guilty of smashing another woman's head into a toilet and breaking her nose.

English model Louise Glover, 26, banged Maxine Hardcastle's head into the rim of a nightclub toilet up to 10 times because she was upset with the way Hardcastle was allegedly looking at her husband.

A court heard how 23-year-old Hardcastle, daughter of 1980s pop musician Paul Hardcastle, was left covered in blood and suffered hair loss and a bruised face after the attack at a nightclub in Brighton in December 2007.

Glover, from Essex, told Ms Hardcastle and her friend, "I know what you Essex girls are like," before attacking her and trying to shove her head down the toilet.

Miss Hardcastle told the Hove Crown Court during Glover's trial that she pleaded with the model to stop the attack.

"I couldn't breathe through my nose because I had blood coming from it — I thought that if she put my face down the toilet I wouldn't be able to breathe," Ms Hardcastle said.

It took the jury one hour to find Glover guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Glover sobbed in the dock as the verdict was read out before wailing and telling the judge her "whole life's in limbo".

She has been released on conditional bail before sentencing on February 4.
